Storm season is just around the corner. Are you prepared?
As a homeowner, buying a generator could spare you financial losses, like food spoilage, when power outages strike. If you frequently work from home, a standby generator is a solid investment. It ensures you won’t suffer a loss of income due to circumstances outside of your control.

If you have a portable generator here are some safety tips.

  • Always place the generator at least 20 feet from your house

  • Make sure, in advance, that you have a long enough generator power cord

  • Direct the exhaust away from any occupied space or inlet pipes so that carbon monoxide isn’t blown toward living spaces

If you have a standby home generator:

  • Check the air filter, battery, and oil, and make sure the LP propane tank is full and the natural gas is good.
