The enclosures protect the internal equipment from rain, sleet, snow, splashing, hose-directed water, and damage from external ice formation. Another popular aspect of this product line is the ability to customize most options. The AP Freedom Climate Control Options offer AC units, Exhaust Fans, Heaters, and Battery Heater Pads. Additionally, LED Lighting, Laptop and Battery Trays, Door Alarms, and Insulation are all options that can be added as needed.
In addition to fiber, this enclosure can also be used with telecommunications, traffic control systems, wireless backhaul, cellular service, cable tv, and power equipment storage projects.
Gresco’s customers have been utilizing these cabinets at their substations for several years. One of our Mississippi co-ops has been utilizing the AM58P-2630-30RU and the feedback has been very positive. Below is one of their cabinets in the process of being customized.
