Meet Gresco's New Vice Presidents

Starting in January, Gresco will welcome three new vice presidents to our executive team. Although new to these roles, they are long-time members of the Gresco family. Their tenure, integrity, and leadership have been instrumental in shaping our company's success. Meet the team!

Deborah Blesie joined Gresco in 2011 as an Account Manager in Florida and was promoted to Director of Sales – Business Development and Strategic Accounts in 2021. Originally from just outside Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Deb began her career with a regional electrical/telecom distributor. In 1995, she relocated to Florida to work for a manufacturer specializing in chemical products for the telecom and utility markets, where she eventually became the National Telecom Sales Manager. Later, she spent a decade as a Sales Executive for a rep agency, covering Florida's electric utility, telecom, and water sectors before joining Gresco.

Deb is a graduate of McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a major in Marketing. Married to her husband, Garry, for over 25 years, Deb enjoys golf, quality time with family and friends, and playing with her three beloved dogs: Bogey, Turbo, and Jack.

On January 1st, she will take on her new role as Vice President of Strategic Business Development.

Jason Champion joined Gresco in 1999 and has over 28 years of experience in the electrical distribution industry. He earned a degree in Business Management and Finance from Troy University in 2007. Throughout his tenure at Gresco, Jason has excelled in inside and outside sales roles, fostering strong relationships with customers and vendors. As a multi-state District Manager, he successfully led Gresco's expansion into new markets, built high-performing teams, and enhanced the development of existing teams. He and his wife, Tanya, have two daughters, Kayla and Lindsay.

On January 1st, he will take on his new role as Vice President of Operations & Customer Service.

Brad Schafer joined Gresco in 2014 as a Sales Engineer and was appointed Director of Technical Solutions in 2021. A graduate of Georgia Tech, Brad holds dual bachelor’s degrees in mechanical and electrical engineering.

Before joining Gresco, Brad served as a Senior Sales Engineer with Cooper Power Systems, covering North Florida and South Alabama territories. Prior to that, he worked at Southern States LLC, where he held roles as the Engineering Manager for the Power Switching Division and later as the General Manager of the SSI Power Division.

Brad and his wife, Sarah, have been married for 15 years and are proud parents to three children: Anna, Thomas, and Kate. In his free time, Brad enjoys coaching his youngest child’s cross-country team, running, and exploring circuit board design and computer programming with the assistance of AI.

On January 1st, he will take on his new role as Vice President of Sales & Growth Strategy.
