Longer Flight Time, Robust Protection
The Matrice 4TD provides up to 54 minutes of forward flight time and up to 47 minutes of hovering time under DJI-specified test conditions. The aircraft features an IP55 ingress protection rating and can operate from -30°C to 50°C (-22°F to 122°F), supporting operations across a wide range of environmental conditions.
Obstacle Sensing for Safe Operation
When equipped with the optional Obstacle Sensing Module, the Matrice 4D Series adds rotating LiDAR and millimeter-wave radar for obstacle sensing. DJI states that the module supports detection of 12 mm wires at speeds up to 15 m/s and improves positioning in low-light environments, providing additional obstacle-sensing capability for operations around power distribution networks and substations.

 

 

Low-Light and Night Operations

The Matrice 4TD combines visual, thermal, and near-infrared imaging capabilities for operations in low-light environments. Its NIR auxiliary light provides illumination at distances up to 100 meters, while the infrared thermal camera supports High-Res Mode. These capabilities provide additional imaging options for nighttime inspection, emergency response, and public safety operations.

Clear Vision and Stable Images
The Matrice 4TD includes medium tele and tele cameras for viewing details at different working distances. The 48 MP medium tele camera uses a 70 mm equivalent focal length, while the 48 MP tele camera uses a 168 mm equivalent focal length. DJI also provides foreground stabilization for telephoto imaging, helping maintain a clear view of subjects when using higher zoom levels.
 
Laser Range Finder

The Matrice 4TD includes a laser range finder with a measurement range up to 1,800 meters at 1 Hz. DJI supports measurement functions including pinpoint, line drawing, and area calculation, providing tools for tasks such as marking inspection locations or calculating the area of a wildfire. 

DJI Dock 3 Integration

The Matrice 4TD is designed for use with DJI Dock 3 for remote and automated drone operations. DJI Dock 3 supports the Matrice 4D Series and can charge an aircraft battery from 15% to 95% in 27 minutes at 25°C (77°F) under DJI-specified conditions. Dock 3 also supports vehicle-mounted deployment, providing additional flexibility for mobile operations.
