Backup power for your home, right in your driveway.
Ford F-150® PowerBoost™ Hybrid and Lightning® trucks with 240-volt Pro Power Onboard™ can provide essential home backup power with one cable from Pro Power Onboard™ to the GenerLink transfer switch. Your Ford truck's available 7,200 watts of power lets you confidently run essential appliances and critical systems simultaneously, prioritizing what matters most for your home.
The GenerLink Ford Connect Bundle 30A Non-Surge Model provides a direct connection between compatible Ford F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid and F-150 Lightning trucks equipped with 240V Pro Power Onboard and a home's electrical system through the GenerLink transfer switch. Installed at or near the electric meter, the system allows homeowners to use their truck as a backup power source during outages without running extension cords throughout the home. The bundle includes a GenerLink transfer switch, a 20-foot GenerLok cable, and a Ford Vehicle Connector for a single connection from vehicle to home.
Designed for residential backup power applications, the GenerLink Ford Connect Bundle helps power essential household circuits and hardwired systems such as lighting, refrigerators, security systems, furnaces, sump pumps, well pumps, and other critical loads within the available wattage capacity of the vehicle and home. The meter-mounted transfer switch provides built-in backfeed protection and enables homeowners to manage power directly through their existing electrical panel. This solution is ideal for emergency preparedness, storm recovery, and temporary home backup power using compatible Ford vehicles.
Please note: Installation of a GenerLink requires prior approval from your local utility company. We recommend confirming your approval status with your electric provider.
One simple connection from vehicle to home.
How it works:
Step 1: Turn off the home's main breaker and all branch circuit breakers.
Step 2: Connect the GenerLok cable to the GenerLink transfer switch until it locks securely into place.
Step 3: Connect the opposite end of the cable to the Ford Vehicle Connector and plug it into the vehicle's 240V Pro Power Onboard outlet.
Step 4: Start the vehicle and activate Pro Power Onboard to begin supplying power.
Step 5: Turn on the main breaker, then energize essential circuits one at a time while monitoring the electrical load.
