The GenerLink 30‑amp surge model is a meter‑mounted transfer switch designed to safely connect a portable generator directly to a home’s electrical system during a power outage. Installed behind the electric meter, it allows generator power to feed the home’s main breaker panel without the need for rewiring or a separate subpanel. The unit is always installed and ready for use, enabling power to hardwired household loads such as lighting, well pumps, sump pumps, and security systems, up to the capacity of the connected generator.

This 30‑amp configuration includes integrated whole‑home surge protection rated at 75 kA, providing protection for connected appliances and electrical systems during generator operation. The GenerLink is UL‑listed (UL1008M), compliant with the 2020 National Electrical Code, and is intended for residential services rated at 200 amps or less. Installation requires approval from the local utility and is performed by utility personnel or a licensed electrician.
