Luke Pearce was Florida’s Top Incentive Award Winner for 2009 after being presented the monthly award 10 times during the year. The monthly award is presented to warehouse personnel who make no delivery errors during a month. Chris Brown, Florida Warehouse Manager, made the presentation. Congratulations, Luke! We appreciate your commitment to detail and Gresco customer service.
Fourth Quarter Driver Safety Awards were presented to Gresco’s Florida truck drivers, John Gercken, Greg Hill and Cal Tindale. No accidents were reported during the fourth quarter of 2009 for any of these drivers, making the year accident and injury free for Gresco, Florida Division.

All of us at Gresco want to thank both the vendors and customers for attending the 5th Annual Florida Fall Fest this year. This was our largest turnout so far for both vendors and customers. We appreciate the participation and support of all the vendors as this event enables our customers to view the latest products and get answers to any questions they may have. They are also able to attend training sessions and make new business contacts. And thanks to all the vendor participation, there was a wide variety of prizes given away. We are already looking forward to next year’s event which will be on Oct. 22nd next year.

The Gresco Safety and Tool truck made its debut recently at the 2008 Florida Lineman Competition & 2nd Annual FMEA Electric Utility Career Day in Lakeland along with Steve Howard, our new tool and line services representative. Linemen from Florida, Kansas and Louisiana electric utilities attended the two day event. Steve had a great response to the variety of tools and safety items displayed on the truck and considered it a successful expo with over 100 attendees registering at the Gresco exhibit.

Gresco Utility Supply is proud to welcome Steve Howard as the newest member of the Gresco team. Steve will fill the position of Tool and Line Services Representative for the Florida Division. He comes to us with over 20 years experience as an electric distribution line and troubleman in the electric utility industry. Steve currently resides in Newberry but will be relocating soon to be closer to the Wildwood office. His passions are drag racing, NASCAR, racquetball and real estate.

The 3rd Annual Florida Fall Fest was a great success with over 40 vendors participating and displaying their wares to customers. The support of all of these vendors played a huge role in making the event successful and enabled us to give away a wide selection of prizes. All of us at Gresco want to thank everyone that participated; both the vendors and customers, and we are already looking forward to next year’s Fall Fest!
